Research shows that the two best predictors of client’s success in counseling are the client’s motivation and the relationship you and your therapists create.  I would be happy to talk to you, so we can see if we are a good fit. I am a dually licensed clinical therapist with flexible office hours including weekends.

I offer an affordable sliding scale fee arrangement for an hour session.  I do not take insurance at this time, so no diagnosis is mandated.  I can answer any questions you may have, when you call me.

I also work using EMDR and other modalities with many types of trauma, abuse, infidelity, and PTSD also called Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or Injury. Current research tells us that  your mind and body has an innate capacity to heal, rebound and become resilient after overwhelming events, with the right help.  My work provides a place of support to allow your mind and body to have a different expereice  and create the capacity to move through complex issues to find one’s own capacity to heal.  EMDR and biofeedback techniques that have been found to help people  get thought their trauma.  Research on resiliency and brain neuroplasticity highlight our bodies innate ability to want to change, given the right support. I also incorporate active listening as well as mindfulness throught my sessions.

NWA Marriage and Family Therapy offers:

Developing  awareness, learning new behaviors, develop new perspectives, releasing  past trauma, managing emotions are within your grasp.  Do you desire changes in your life, in your marriage, relationship, or family? Maybe you struggle with attachment style issues, intimacy or sex? Do you feel suffocated, or trapped?  Maybe unloved or unappreciated? Even small steps can lead to big changes in your life and in your relationships.

Life’s challenges might possibly be the best teacher we can have.  Part of who we are and how we define ourselves is through relationships and interaction with others.  Our challenges can become daily opportunities for exploring who we are and what values are important to us.   When our lives are aligned with these values, it gives our life meaning and purpose.

Some of the theories and techniques I may use in session are Person Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Experiential, Solution Focused, Breathing, Relaxation Techniques, Mindfulness and EMDR.

I believe deciding to participate in counseling is a journey of self discovery and a sign of courage.  I would feel deeply honored and grateful if you decide to allow me to work to share that journey of discovery together with you and the important people in your life.
